Nick Burgoyne - Farmers
More than anything else, it is the Balinese people who make the island so very charming.
Yes, the landscapes and the weather make it a pleasant place to live but without her people,
Bali is just another island. This becomes very apparent when traveling to other places in
Indonesia, which mostly lack a certain 'essence'.
Nowhere is this more certain than when walking in the rice paddies and meeting the farmers,
most of whom are community elders. They are eager to meet new people and their smiles are
very welcoming. They also enjoy having their portraits taken, as can be seen here through
their smiles!
