This farmer saw me taking photographs and waved for me to take his. He was having a break, leaning on his chankul which is a kind of horizontal spade. I like the shape he makes and the shape of the bird scarer behind him. This is a small wind powered noise maker which is a common feature in the rice paddies around here.
