Nick Burgoyne - Animals

The luscious and extensive flora of Bali is equally matched by a diverse and exciting fauna, both wild and domesticated. Even after three decades of cohabiting with lizards, I am still thrilled when I see them chasing moths up my window or after mosquitoes in the bathroom.

I am particularly fond of the tribes of Macaque monkeys which are mostly confined to special 'monkey forests' outside of the large tracts of rain forest in the west. I find their similarity to humans very compelling and despite being bitten a few years ago, I still enjoy watching them and cycling past where they live.
