ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Christian Vanneque’s credentials were established in
the early ‘70s becoming France’s youngest chef sommelier of La Tour
d’Argent restaurant in Paris, at the age of 20, where he remained
for ten years. Christian was a judge at the historic 1976 Paris Wine
Tasting -a blind tasting where nine French judges shocked the
industry by choosing unknown California wines over France’s best-
which had a lasting and revolutionary impact on the world of wine

Vanneque” for more details). Christian
Vanneque pursued a career in wine and the hospitality industry for
the next 30 years partially in France but mostly in the U.S. He
later established a publishing company, Vanneque Publishing d/b/a
Best Bets, specializing in informative tourist guides, based in
Bali-Indonesia, where he has resided since 2001. |
