the rapidly growing, select group which we represent. Murex Dive in North Sulawesi
provide a highly comprehensive and professional service in the exceptionally rich and
diverse waters of the Bunaken National Park which covers an area of about 75,000 ha. Divers often report seeing very large pelagic fish, whales, dolphins, giant manta rays and turtles and conditions are exceptional all year round; with visibility averaging 25-30m and water temperatures of 26-27 ºC Sulawesi provides the best diving in Indonesia and the largely Christian population are
charming and friendly! We are very pleased to represent such a fine organisation in
an area as bountiful as the Barrier Reef and as unspoilt as when Burton first charted
these mystical lands!

The marine park surrounds the islands of Bunaken, Manado Tua, Mantehage
and Nain. The average boat ride from Murex resort to Manado Tua or Bunaken Island takes
about 45 minutes. The Manado Tua and Bunaken Islands are ringed by dense natural coral reefs. Its is almost impossible to name all the numerous possible dive sites in these 2 areas alone. The predominant type of diving popular at these sites are wall dives on sheer vertical coral walls with coral seen up to depths of about 50m.. |
| Most divers will be quite comfortable in a bathing suite but lycra or thin
neoprene is advisable as protection against any stinging hydroids. Manado is not just for the diver, endless unspoilt white sand beaches (as seen countless times on television), white water rafting, jungle trekking, visits to the Tangkoko National Nature Reserve, Tomohon lake provide an excellent holiday location for the whole family. Flights arrive daily from Bali and Jakarta, Silk Air fly twice weekly to Manado from Singapore on Tuesdays and Saturdays and there are flights from Davao in The Philippines on Mondays and Fridays. |

Nestled on the Manado coast, Murex offers 20 fully air-conditioned rooms that feature natural timber construction complete with attached bathrooms and balconies. 3 meals a day are provided as part of the room stay package. Meals are provided for all boat dives away from the resort and special meals are available on request. Laundry services are also available. |

| Murex owns and operates 3 Live on board vessels that have capacities of 4 (The Arlena), 8 (The Symphony) and 12 (The Serenade) divers respectively. Destinations that are visited include the Sangihe Islands and the Togian (Tomini Gulf), The Sangihe trip lasts about 6-10 days. While the Tomini Gulf trip lasts about 10-14 days at sea. | |
| All the cabins on the Serenade and Symphony are fully air-conditioned. The Serenade has attached bathroom facilities with hot water showers while The Symphony and The Arlena have showers on the aft ramp. Meals are provided for the trip by our resident cooks. |
