| About the Artist |
 |
| |
Veronique Aonzo was born in the South of France, in
1965, where she grew up in the sun and the famous light of Provence
Côte d'azur...
From an early age she developed a strong interest in Art and met
many contemporary young artists like herself who were influenced by
Cezanne, Matisse, Miro, Armand, Picasso...
Despite this artistic influence, Véronique read law and gained her
degree, simultaneously she studied Art and decoration at the "Villa
Thiole" in Nice, followed by a year in the "Academia delle belle
arte" in Milano. |
During the 1985-1994 she lived in Paris and become an Art dealer for
a new generation of "conceptual artists".
From this experience she learnt an appreciation of the value of
painting and the relationship of creativity, marketing and sales in
the Art world.
Véronique settled in Bali after travelling throughout South East
Asia, and it was here that she found the security of a family life.
Becoming a mother seemed to give her the confidence to show her work
in public for the first time.
Her unique form of art comprises the use of basic and simple
materials like wood, cement, pigment, paper, combined with a
powerful sense of colour and form.
Véronique's personality would not allow her to be acknowledged as a
"true artist" but would simply request the public to make their own
judgement and appreciation of her "stunning decorative panels". -
